1日目。成田から約12時間を経てパリのシャルルドゴール空港に到着。手荷物受け取り所でTBSのアナウンサー安住さんがいた。同じ便に乗っていたらしい。空港からパリ中心部のホテルへ。パリまではタクシーで40分ほどかかった。空港付近の工場地帯ではNECやCannonなど、日本メーカーの看板が多く目に付く。市街に入ると、建物が歴史の重みを感じるパリらしい作りのものばかっりに(実際は新しいものもあるのだろうけど)。

First day, We arrived at Charles de Gaulle International Airport from Narita. It took 12 hours. I saw Mr, Azumi who is Japanese TV announcer at baggage claim. He seemed to have just arrived by same flight as me. We went to a hotel located in center of Paris by taxi. There were some advertisements of Japanese conpanies such as NEC and Cannon on the way to the hotel. Once we entered in Paris, we found many French traditional buildings.

宿泊するホテルはクイーンマリーホテルという三つ星のプチホテル。街中にあり、プランタンなどの買い物スポットまで徒歩2〜3分と便利な立地。しかし部屋は狭かった。

We stayed at Queen Mary Hotel which is conveniently located to go to Printemps and seeing spots. I enjoyed the stay though our room was a little bit smaller than I expected.

今回は相方と、初海外旅行の父親、去年行った妹とのハワイが初海外だった母親の４人旅。両親は長旅にも関わず、意外と疲れていない様子。パリに付いたとたんに元気になり、市街見物に行こうと言いだし、夜1時間ほど散歩。偶然見つけたレストランで夕食。うーん、クセのある味…。ちょっと失敗…。

It was my father's first traveling abroad, and second time for my mother. Despite their long trip, my parents were fine. Actually they were a bit tired after our flight, but as soon as we arrived in Paris, they recovered and they even proposed us to take a walk in the city of Paris. We had dinner at a restrant which we found during strolling. ...the taste ?...it was special...
